Coaches and Managers.
Please be advised that both the RMMSA batting cage, and the ball fields at Albion will be CLOSED from 6:00am Friday May 4th to 4:00pm Sunday May 6th.
This closure is in effect as The City requires use of the parking lot for the Maple Ridge Home Show that weekend. Please do not submit any requests for access to the batting cage during the aforementioned times, as they will not be responded to.
We had an amazing opening day last weekend. The weather couldn’t dampen the spirits. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. We want to thank all our volunteers for making the day so great!
In particular we would like to thank Kate Doucette, Fiona Reaume, Kelly Cebuliak, Heather Anderson and all the players from the U-19C Bombers and Canadians. Thank you for going above and beyond and giving our players’ a day they will remember!!!
We also want to acknowledge the amazing contributions of the U-12 Fireballs. These young ladies in orange not only did an amazing job keeping the Learn to Play stations moving along at our Opening Day but they are always among the first to volunteer for any event the club holds!
RMMSA is partnering with the Rotary Club and the Annual Rotary Duck Race http://rotaryduckrace.ca once again this season. First Prize is a 2017 Fiat 124 Spider Convertible!
. 90% of all tickets sales go back to RMMSA and 10% go to Kidsport. Funds raised by RMMSA teams through ticket sales will be used to provide financial support directly back to our association for the purchase of uniforms, team gear, and field equipment. By supporting Kidsport you provide every child in Ridge Meadows an opportunity to play local sports so no child is left sitting on the sidelines.
Volunteer activities to assist with Duck Race ticket sales have been created on our Volunteer page; http://rmmsa.rmmsa.com/organizations/2570/pages/106336
Former RM Pride ’99 players; Janessa Hanson, Hannah Menard, Lindsey Cowdell, and Casey Gareauhave competed in the Tucson College Invitational Tournament last weekend. All players have earned starting positions on the Douglas College Royals softball team, which currently leads the NWAC Division with a 12-0 record!
Great to see former Ridge Meadows players still playing highly competitive college ball.
